Jessica D. B. BrauerJessica D. B. Brauer practices in the area of natural resources law handling complex oil and gas litigation and regulatory matters. Ms. Brauer’s litigation practice includes representing mineral owners and mineral lessees in disputes concerning mineral and leasehold title and disputes regarding royalty payments. Ms. Brauer’s regulatory practice includes representing federal mineral lessees in regulatory matters before the IBLA and representation of operators and non-operators in contested oil and gas commission matters, including appeals to the federal or state courts when necessary. Ms. Brauer also has experience assisting clients in drafting of lease agreements, surface use agreements, and other agreements pertaining to mineral development.

Education

  • B.A. degree in Environmental Studies in 2006 from University of Colorado at Boulder; member of Phi Beta Kappa.
  • J.D. degree in 2013 from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law with a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law; two years as a Staff Editor and one year as an Articles Editor for the University of Denver Water Law Review.
